A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. This page lists every cookie Calculix uses and what it is for.
1. Strictly necessary
These make the site work. They cannot be switched off and do not require consent.

2. Preferences
Stored in your browser's local storage rather than as cookies, and never sent to our servers.

3. Analytics
We count page and calculator use so we know which tools to improve. Your IP address is never stored — it becomes a salted hash that changes daily, so visits cannot be linked across days or back to you.
4. Advertising
Our advertising partners set their own cookies to select ads, limit how often you see the same one, and measure whether an ad worked. These are set under each partner's own policy, not ours.
Only one advertising company operates on any given page, so you are never tracked by several networks at once on the same screen. The current list is on our Advertising Disclosure page.
Some banners on this site are our own — promotions for AjonTec, the company that builds Calculix. Those set no cookies at all and are marked as sponsored links.

5. Controlling cookies
- Take a paid membership — advertising scripts are then not loaded at all, so no advertising cookie is ever set.
- Opt out of personalised ads at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.
- Use your browser settings to block or clear cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop sign-in working.
- Change your consent at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer.
6. Consent
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we ask before setting any advertising or analytics cookie, and record your choice. Elsewhere, we tell you what we set and give you the controls above.
